Slowpoke, The Tinklers first C.D. in 5 years, contains 19 new songs painstakingly and lovingly recorded in Charles' living room. This living room sound, brought to beautiful high fidelity on Chris' 4-track and mastered with skill and good humor by Chuck Gross and Diana Froley. The Tinklers' sound has never been richer or more diverse, utilizing electric and acoustic guitars and bass, rubber band guitar and xylophone, banjo and keyboards, and a wide range of percussion and assorted sounds that add up to a more rocking but also more strange and intimate sound. The songs range from the raucous high jinx of "Chimpanzee Party" and "Mensa Maniacs" to tragic ballads like "Up From The Basement" and "Girl In The Mirror",from the wild childhood remembrances of "Body Surfin" and "Randy" ("I'm Not From Here I'm From Space") to the cautionary trucker's song, "Slowpoke".
